Which radio station do you listen to (pg. 7)
View this Thread in Original format
club246
I've tried to tune into the other station to hear Paul (As we are still good friends) and I CANT. Its really frustrating on the quality.

I've also just checked out the site. NOTHING works ! Why launch it ?
Everything is coming soon, and from my experience with the guys whos running it, that might be forever.

I love the fact that there is another station. I think we could use 2 more in Toronto. 24 hours would be amazing :)_

keep in mind that club 246 was once a startup operation as well. Some things do take time to come together.

I remember z103 when it first came on the air as hot 103 back in 1995. They didnt even have a proper host for the first month and their coverage was based out of orangeville which meant that you could not recieve the signal downtown. Of course thats also changed over the course of time.

I like both 246 and 105.1. I think they both have a lot to offer dance music listeners in Toronto. Its too bad that a lot of people cant join forces to promote dance music instead of work against each other. From what i see, dance music in Toronto is in desperate need of solid promotion right now.

Yes, for sure some healthy competition is always good, although I must say the signal of 105 is super bad, when I listen to see whats going on gets super annoying and I have to turn it off.

I heard that, it wasn't an increase of power at all, but a Chuck Norris Roundhouse kick, that is constantly sending shockwaves across Southern Ontario. .

I live in Etobicoke 2 minutes away from Z103's office and let me tell you I get static reception whenever I try to listen to Z on my household receiver, I guess if Z103 wanted to have a better reception they would be able to rent their transmitters from CN Tower instead of broadcasting out of Orangeville. As I said before the only time I get half decent reception of Z is when I'm driving in my car, whenever I'm @ work or school I usually listen to mp3's off my laptop or ipod simply because I don't have to listen to annoying commercials or stupid radio personalities. If I'm up late doing some late night studying, I try to listen to either Club246 or Paul the engineer's Paradox shows on mp3s, I do tune into Energy stream once in a while, but let me tell you I was listening to Jay-t's show few Tuesday nights and clearly it sounds like a cheap rip off Seduce and Conquer show that Payton Kayne hosts on 246 :stongue: that is my 2 cents worth

haha in Algonquin Park there is only one station. And it is the "Algonquin Park Information Station." Basically it's some guy talking in a mono voice, and the 3 minute recording is repeated over and over and over and over...

Then here in Barry's Bay (where I go on my days off) we get 97.7 (Moose FM) LOL! It's a mix of country, classic rock, and pop music. There are also a few stations here that are very popular, and the genre of them is country.

The only station that I listen to once in a while is CBC Radio 1. I basically listen to that when I am Algonquin Park because I like to be updated on the news (someone broke our television there!! ><). Sometimes the station does not work, and when it does, the reception is not good, but i can still understand what they are saying.

*sigh*

I just throw a bunch of tracks on my mp3 player and try to survive on them each week!

I actually find Energy 105 to have the best quality signal out of the three stations. Z 103's signal is Loud to the point where it's almost distorted, 100.7's signal is Muffled where as Energy's signal is almost CD quality. Where I live I have no problems receiving the signal even on my clock radio.
