Hi, during my move to Cubase 3 from Reason I'm having trouble getting to grips with the general usability of the program.
When I began with Reason I downloaded several projects to see how things went together and learnt from there, now I know my way around it blindfolded.
Has anyone got an old project they wouldnt mind posting so I can take a look at the general method to building a track using Cubase.
Preferably Cubase 2 or higher (3SX would be great) with as many features of Cubase taken advantage of as possible to see how it can be used.
Thatd be really ace if anyone could. |

You would have to have all the same VST's, but maybe i'll bounce everything to wav and post one. |

Yeah, that's where cubase differs from reason, it doesn't have everything you need onboard. A project file could be useful to new users nonetheless, he can assign the missing plugins to onboard plugins or his proper vst's and get the general hang of it. I just recently switched to cubase and don't even have a finished peace right now. |

If you could post a project (or send) with the list of VST's used, unles I can make out in cubase which ones were used then just send the project file, leave the rest up to me. |

OK, well it gives a list of the used plugins you don't have when you open the project. So tell me what you're trying to learn from this, and I'll put one together. I don't use softsynths/vsti's so I'm gonna have to bounce some things to wav anyway. |

I've been looking for guides on how VSTi's intergrate with Cubase but not found any physical examples like I previously did with Reason. I know this is a good way to learn how all the components in a new to learn Sequencer work together.
What im not at all after is "a guide to make trance in cubase" merely how the software is used and setup in a new project to put any track together.
I suppose it would help if the example project was at least EDM if not Trance orientated because thats the music I always use when learning new software. |

I used the VSTI that comes with Cubase here, A1, this should show you the basics, using FX Channels, using group channels, putting FX on VSTi's.
I also used all Cubase FX, Cubase Compressor, Cubase Eq, etc. |
