Buy a mac is all you need to think about :) Windows for PCs is rank. PERSONAL OPINION.

Make sure what you have is compatable with the computer software. IE. the new MACs will have problems. Windows XP SP2 has problems with certain graphics cards, so you have to think about that, there is a patch to download but if your XP SP2 is integarted with Windows when you install it you are pretty much fooked.

the f**k?? You can't put out a statement like "Windows has issues with graphics card"... man, that's stupid. Any problem can be fixed.
And then it's time for my ramble :p:
Buy a Mac if you wipe your ass with money, don't want the ability to upgrade your computer with time, like to be tied down to one company (I am *not* a slave to Microsoft, ehem... ;)), and like shiny white packaging...
Buy a Dual Core PC if you want power, flexibility to build a system by your own specs and versatility. Intel Conroe Dual Core CPUs are currently the fastest running processors on the market, and you can build a bone crushing PC system for the price you'll pay for the cheapest Mac G5.

Anyway, I don't know what graphics issue Dj Alliance had on windows, but there is certainly nothing wrong with XP Service pack, it won't "fook up your system" as he said...

...waiiit, mac geeks, don't kill me just yet! :)

It all comes down to preference. If you like mac, buy mac, if you like PCs, buy a PC, either way just make sure you get a system that suits your needs. It is my experience that Macs are a bit expensive, and tend to break, the laptops anyway (then again, I can't say Windows is flawless either... :p), but maybe I have a bad and biased view of Apple, I don't know. At least this is my point of view and you can either accept what I have to say or reject it... it's just my 2 cent.

If you decide to get a PC, get a dual core CPU, I just can't stress this enough! These things will change your life (especially the Core 2 Duo / Conroe CPUs, they are the fastest x86 processors ever built, and go for VERY cheap, compared to what they offer)

heh, in fact the PC rocks for producing, dont know what PvD and others who flamed PC did with their equipment to make it "buggy" as he said himself. Mac users just think they´re cool and its cool to flame PC :P it's just about choosing the right components and you're set imo :conf: :D

They are called drivers mate. All hardware has drivers, even the stuff you plug into a mac.

PS. I don't think your Voodoo 2 was designed to work with Win XP.

Carry on.
