Denon vs. Pioneer... help me decide (pg. 2)

a NUO4/NUO5 will have better sound and build quality compared to the DNX-1500 and DJM-600. Those might be the best choice. Myabe the XONE:62 as well.

I'd also recommend something from Ecler over either of those two, however if it came down to it, my .02 on those two mixers is only that I didn't particulary care for the way the Denon mixer felt, which isn't to say that I thought the DJM was a ton better, but in general I just liked the EQ's/response on the DJM better than the DN-X1500S.

I'm sure that didn't really help at all.

Let's not forget that the djm-600 is outdated and can never ever be updated whereas the denon has firmware upgrades.

btw there is actually a new denon dns-x1500...its teh dns-x1500s.

EDIT: also there is a matrix input assignment feature on the denon making it so you can choose which device goes to which channel.

No, that's out of the question. €1000 is the absolute highest I can go and even then I'd rather not go that high...

Hmm, the xone:62 is only €700 brand new, prices are certainly different in your country, used xone:62 goes around €500.

i've used the djm and the x1500

i like the djm because after 2 years of club abuse ours is still going strong, the effects are nice (i'm not much of an effects guy, less is more), i've seen djs blow crowds away with the effects though
you get what you pay for with the djm

the x1500 is a pretty good mixer, especially for bedroom use
i like the matrix inputs, allows creativity with the effects
the downside is you have to tap your bpm (it's not read like the djm)
and it didn't seem as rugged as the djm

also, i've never encountered an x1500 in a club, usually the djm 500/600

Yes, that is why I put the 1500S down as my option and not the 1500.

The lowest price I've seen was 1100.

sorry just saw so many x1500 in the posts that i thought that people weren't aware.

Heh, no worries :)

The more I think about it the more I want the Denon... I think it'd be just right for me.
