I am not sure where you got that from, but I am assuming you have never went to a massive in any of those countries. There is a decent majority of members on this board with those nationalities which I am sure would dispute that comment.

That girl is named Despina.....i used to know her back in the late 90s/early00s...

Her and her man can dance amazingly....they can go from Funk styles to Liquid to Popping to Locking to Tutting as well as House dances....they know their .

If you went to to Roxy, Limelight or Exit back then, you surely saw her.

Not to mention she is one of the coolest persons you will meet in the scene.

not to say colibri is right but i was in russia for 4 months last year and the dancing i saw from the st pete kids was not exactly the best. great atmosphere and tons of excited people though. on the other hand, russian mtv has their own "so you think you can dance" type show and the kids on tv could dance...i was always entertained

Hey...I haven't been back home in NYC since 98..I thought the Roxy wasn't around anymore? What about Limelight?

Which are the hot places now?...I'm dying to come back home. I need to get a fix of some wicked dancing...minus the sketchiness. I hope it's not true that NYC no longer have any good dancers :(

I sooooo disagree with you there because most edm fans in DC who really bust a groove on the dance floor are asians, black and white americans

Talk about flashback... Yes, I remember meeting Nurse Glow out. Her entire crew would wear the racer jerseys. Nice group of people. I think she's actually a trained dancer and model too.

It's completely different now. You won't find many people doing liquid or glowsticking in major clubs anymore. The likes of the Liquid Pop Collective are pretty much extinct. The majority of club goers don't really see dancing as an art form that actually requires skill and practice. On one hand you don't have obnoxious battles anymore, but on the other hand really good dancers aren't showcased as much.

LOL ya remember the jerseys!!

I know she used to take ballet and perform when she was younger but i am sure, like you said, she is trained in other fields.

So true....LPC even broke up and from what i heard dont even bother with Liquid anymore....

I still bust out my Liquid from the 90s, though i look like a clown compared to guys from LPC - like Eric, Fu and Frequency.
