Hey fellow TAs
I've put together a pretty kick-ass mix (IMO of course :)) that I was gonna try to get into the TA mix competition, but alas I was too late in reading the thread. Anyway's I don't have enough web-space to upload the whole thing, I started to on my Spaceports account, but only have 20Mb. So I uploaded it to the alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.dance newsgroup. You'll need to sign up a news account with your ISP or usenet. For those not familiar with the ng's here's the mp3 FAQ.

| yep, if you just clix0r on the link I gave to the ng you should be taken right there. I've just checked again, I clicked on it and was taken there in OutlookExpress. |

yeah, sorry but I have no other place to host these files. I guess many ISP's are dropping binaries newsgroups, mine keeps getting more and more:eyes:.
If anyone would like to help host 40MB worth of it, I can put it up for DD. Since most of the music in the mixes came from TA, I'd like to share my mix with you guys. /end wishful thinking |

| I have the same problem with this newsgroup. I once wanted to download a set from there but neither does my isp support this newsgroup nor can I find a place on the web to access the group somewhere....but it seems to be a really good newsgroup! |

well I guess you might have to pay a couple bucks a month to get access to the better binaries ng's. Here's a link to Giganews: http://www.usenet-access.com/defaul...=a2zweblinkscom (I hope that's allowed).
I've managed to stuff up my @home web-spaces as well as my Spaceports site, but still need about 28MB of space to offer a dd. I'd really like other people to hear this mix, because IMO it's even better than PVD's POD! :D I may need some other opinions to help bring me back down to earth (:o). I'd love to have had this in the Battle of the Mixers II so at least a few ppl could hear it and give me feedback.
If anyone can help with about 28Mb of space, pleeeeease let me know, I'd be oh so grateful! |

OK, I might be able to host a 28-Mb file...
... but I'd have to do a number of things first, which isn't very convenient.
Let's see if someone else offers you space. If nobody does, I'll see what I can do. |

thx Eugene, and FYI, they are broken up in RAR files (which I couldn't find any support for on free-hosts) which are 5MB each. I appreciate the response :)
Edit: I'll see if I can hijack one of the family members web-spaces. That should take it down to 18MB if I can. |

Well personally, I'm not a big fan of RAR-split files.
It's a pain in the ass to download everything separately and then try to "join" them.
If I host your mix I'd like to make it one compact MP3 file... |

Well I suppose I could set it to 64kbps, that would make it a 30Mb or so file? That would seriously hurt the sound quality though, but at least ppl could hear it :) Lemme know if that'd be a better option.

Edit: this is my brain on drugs :conf: . I re-ripped it at 64kbps and therefore don't need any other space. I've fit the 30Mb on my various host sites. You can goto this website to grab the trax. The links are just after the track listing. I'd appreciate feedback. L8r
