I have noticed on another website they have producers doing Q+A sessions with established producers, only problem is it's DNB.

I was thinking it would be great if some trance producers could do this as well. What does everyone think?

isn't this forum a Q+A forum?...

Let me correct myself, isn't this forum SUPPOSED to be Q+A?

I would love Q+a if it is done correctly. I don't think - and this is a problem with this forum - a question should be shoved off or given a stupid answer like "use google" or "use search"... just becasue it has been asked before.

If your thinking what i think your thinking, which would mean your thinking the same thing i think. [hehe] then yes, a Q+A section would be nice..if done correctly.

the main idea about this post is very nice but this is something I would like to give a little reply to. Man if you can't find some simple and mostly realy basic things on google or in search...then maybe producing is just not for you, it just requires some IQ...
not ICQ :p
No Left Turn
pretty sure the dnb forum he's referring to is DOA (www.dogsonacid.com)

i only said that becasue it is easyer to find a black ant on a black rock in the blackest night, then it is to find what your looking for on google

Really? I find Google extremely useful most of the time.

I've found the trick to this. People don't like to be helpful in public, everybody who comes here, comes here because they are also looking for something, and they seem to get offended when somebody asks them a quesion and acts lke everybody here is just waiting to be consulted. Forums like these (and moreso the forums for geeky things or visual artsy things) are more for people to trade info, not so much ask questions, but rather to discuss things.

But the way around this problem, is to find an ameteur producer who you like, find a specific question, tell them what you like about their track, and ask your question. People seem MUCH more willing to be helpful in private, over im, IRC, email, but not in forums(or some chat rooms)

And its realy easy to track down a person's IM or some way to contact them privately.

But once you have interesting things to talk about, and wanna bouce ideas off of each other, then this forum gets really nice(sometimes), cuz then you get answers to questions you didnt even know you had, which often turn out be more helpful.
