[DD] Magnus - Lifeforce (Full on Psy)

Hey all! Here we have another psy track I finished recently. Its full on style but has melodic elements to it. I was trying to make something driving and hard but found myself going trancey. I was in a strange mood I guess. :tongue3 Anyways its about a 3 minute sample. I can just post up the full version if you all like it. You can also hear the full version in Psyforce Vol IV in my signature below. Its the very first track.

This is very melodic, beautiful melodies and nice harmonic sounds.

im not the biggest fan of psytrance so i cant really comment on the technicalities of the track although I am a hard trance producer and can comment on a few basics..
The track is well arranged and takes hold of you, it has that feel to it, nice melody and use of instruments.
The mastering is 100%, sounds professional.
The only things Im not fully 100% with (and im being picky here) are..
Sounds a bit repititive (bassline & some of the synths) (maybe this is how psytrance is meant to sound, im not 100% sure)
Im not sure about those pauses/gaps in the track like @ 2:26, i nearly thought the track had finished, it had that sound to it too much. The gap is 'too' dead imo, there needs to be at least something (however small) in there, even an offbeat kick before back into the main track again would be nice etc etc. Its just all that drive and then 'DEAD' then start again with no warning but i know what you were trying to do here :)

hi hi, okay, starting, this is very flowing... nice and melodic... it sounds very warm... okay, approaching the empty spot (2:26)... that was a neat touch, nice...
those quick pauses give somethig else, although maybe one of them, fill it with like, a buzzy sample.... or something. |

| pretty neat track you got there, nice drive and effects, could only wish for some phatter percussions though. reminds me a bit of protoculture. |

The driving hihats seems thin.
Brilliant work mate. Very impressive & professional. I would have loved to see how this track progresses in a full version.
