In the late and 80's and early 90's The Shamen burst on to the early acid house and rave scene, putting out 15 UK hits including Ebeneezer Goode, Boss Drum and Move Any Mountain. Their front man was the young, energetic Mr C. Mr C later moved on to form the record label Plink Plonk and in the mid nineties took on the project of opening the London nightclub known as The End. The club venture led to End Recordings, a label that has become a household name for dj's and clubbers alike. Now, both nightclub and label are proven success' and he's teamed up with New York based producer Francis Harris to form The Sycophant Slags. Francis has had solo releases already on labels like Big Chief, Intrinsic, and End Recordings and now, as The Sycophant Slags, boasts big time release on both Hallucination and Sex on Wax as well as Mr C's own End Recordings. Having these together in the Footwork environment will be special to say the least. Dont pass on this one!
