Nintendo has always had the more durable hardware and controllers out of the three. Your average gamecube can be tossed out of a 2nd-storey window and still work. A PS2 can break from being dropped 3 or 4 feet. Nintendo has been known to test the durability of its hardware by chucking gameboys and controllers from from high-rise apartment balconies. I read an article about a guy who left his gameboy out for A WINTER, only to discover it the next spring when he RAN OVER IT WITH HIS LAWNMOWER. Of course, it still worked :D
The 360 will overheat if you put it in a cabinet or something... the instructions they give you on proper ventilation, etc, should be taken VERY SERIOUSLY.
I'm sure that Wii will have no such problems, knowing nintendo's reputation for having almost indestructible equipment. |

i remember dropping my n64 down a flight of concrete stairs, when i was renovating, slipped out of my hands, and FLEW into the wlal when it hit the bottom.
Plugged it in, and was playing smash brothers 5 minutes later.
ing quality stuff. |

like any computer, the XBOX360 should be placed in a position that its ventilation exhausts are exposed to open air.
From my own experience, it looks like some of the earlier games themselves have some bugs, they look rushed.
Now i'm waiting for NHL2007 :) |

The PS3 as an 80's answering machine, complete with wood-panelling. |

I can't relate to some of you hardcore gamers.
To be honest I can't keep a controller in my hand for longer than 20 minutes. Thus, I never found the ps series or xbox to be of any good... The games are just not my type. I like to play silly games, or something fun when all my friends are around, other than that I just gave up on gaming really.
But nintendo has captured some of my needs with a gaming system, mainly for the games and user friendly equipment, they've always played it safe and have a fair price tag. I'd be going for the Wii for sure, smash bros all the way. |

| It's funny how the tables have turned. Back in the day, Sony was the one responsible for diversifying the gaming market by getting more people into video gaming. Then with the PS2 and Xbox even more people got into video games. Now Nintendo is coming in with the Wii and from the looks of it even more people are going to play this thing, than ever before. |

| Nintendo products have more mass market appeal.. do you play syphon filter at a party? metal gear solid? Splinter Cell? No. You play Super Smash Brothers.. Mario Kart.. Mario Party.. They're much more intuitive and user friendly. Not saying that Sony is bad.. but they're for a mature crowd. XBOX is somewhere in between. |

| We all know Nintendo is for kids, back in when SNES was the , its b/c, lots of companies signed with them ... as long as you have Square on your side, you won the console war. Every gamer know that ... the ones in denies this, are still playing Nintendo. |
