i wouldnt go as far to call it a thinking movie...its a pretty entertaining movie nonetheless..its a pretty typical sci-fi plot...bleak, totalitarian future in which ppl are devoid of feelings and deprived of art/music etc..
in comes in christian bale, who starts out as a enforcer for the enemy, then gradually joins the "enemy" who are in fact, normal ppl tryin to take down the establishment...sound familiar yet?
smoke a joint, watch and have fun, the "gun-kata" sequences are hilariously entertaining |

| typical sci-fi plot :haha: you need to watch some more sci-fi. I would most likely compare it to Orwell's "1984" |

sounds pretty much like V for vendetta, so yeah pretty typical. |

Never understood the appeal of this movie.
Only thing I can figure is that it presents a "Neo" bullet dodging ability as a skill earned rather than innately acquired. |

it was on tv a month ago and i had nothing better to do and was pleasantly surprised :)
its very watchable, just don't sit down expecting the best movie evar |

i found it more along Farhenheit 451
the plot was pretty cool but the movie pace was so slow and incredibly boring. |

I liked it a lot... partly the plot... but partly just the atmosphere of the film.
very slow... yes... but it seemed to me like it should be that way. |
