Hypothetical story and question.... (pg. 4)

Ok, so I talked to some people here that knew a little more about it.
First off, I need to get the guy and the bike caught. The guy will have to admit to stealing the bike, or I will need to figure out a case that proves that the individual caught is the one responsible for the damages.
Once that is done, charges will be pressed against the guy by the police, and then I have to file to sue him in small claims court, where, I can represent myself and nab his little punk ass.
