Overclocking and a Music pc?

| I have my old abit is7 overclocked hard on air, but soon it will be watercooled. Thing is I have my audio card on its own irq, but the thing crackles a little here and their because of the overclocking(well it didn't do this before I overclocked). So I guess the two just don't mix? |

First, I'm not sure why your playing around with IRQs. Those are not to be touched.
Try re-seating the card, make sure all the connections are tight. Remove all soundcard drivers, double check the model and manufactour and go to their site and get the latest drivers. Try getting a BIOS update. Try lowering the hardware accelration in the sound control pannel.
That's all I can think of really. Google may help you more. |
