depends on what fun subculture you want to identify with
for instance, if you want to identify with the so called club guido culture, try armani exchange, diesel, or dolce & gabbana, and if you would like to identify with the so called 'jersey guidos', make sure you get knockoffs of those on ebay. Don't forget your hair spiker. |

Yep, that's all I wear when going out..
Also, depends on what you have in mind, you might want to consider buying some comfy shoes but at the same time elegant and stylish (black)... My advice banana or tommy have a lot of models like that, but either way there are like 100 different shoe brands for that |

| I don't think it should matter what you wear to a club. Some have dress codes, but I don't see the point. I think your there to have fun and dance, who cares what you look like as long as you aren't going around in PJs or boxer shorts you should be okay. Don't see the point in really formal dress unless it's some expensive ballroom place. Most nightclubs i've been to are quite casual, jeans and a tshirt or polo shirt for guys, and ladies jeans and usually halter tops or tank tops/string tops or tshirts..but it depends on the venue really. |

The only time it matters what you wear is when you re a girl,
then you should wear as little as possible
There are a bunch of places you almost have to dress up like a job interview to get into though. |

| I don't mind dressing up fancier, in fact i kind of like it, it adds to the atmosphere in my opinion, just like a clubs decor- and im luckily not the kind of person who feels uncomfortable in "formal" clothes. |

Well I am one of those that doesn't feel uncomfortable in formal clothes, unless it's like on a date at a nice resturaunt or a job interview. I just wouldn't want to get all dressed up in interview type clothes at a club. Polo shirt and jeans is best IMO, that way if anything happens to your stuff (like drinks spilled on them, sweat...) it wont be a big deal. I'm not sure what you mean by formal wear though.is it dress shirt and khakis type formal or just a nice polo shirt and nice jeans? because that's more casual than anything else. There's a club like 10 minutes from my house, and they a have a really strict dress code. I've been wanting to try it out but not sure what to wear there other than khakis and a polo shirt...but I really don't want to relive another homecoming dance haha... |

Depends, I almost always wear a button up to a club, but that's just me and the dress code of a lot of the places I went too. I enjoy dressing up nice to go out, i probably could have gotten away with less. Sure, slacks sometimes, usually just fashionable jeans-\

Yeah I mean the clubs i've been to, people seem to get away with just jeans and shirts, nothing too fancy. I hated dressing up to homecoming dances in high school, i'de always take my suit off, and roll up my sleeves and take off my tie. Just hard to dance with a tie and suit IMO. I equate clubs and bars, well most of them, with casualness....unless it's some really fancy, glitzy bar or lounge with a fancy resturaunt and slow dancing... |

A lot of the places I'd been going to expected a somewhat more formal attire, and I've been clubbing underage for the last three years (I'm only 17) so I always think I have a WAY better chance of getting in if im well dressed, and that's usually the case. I've seen people get turned down with official IDs who are of legal age get turned down for not looking their best and after seeing that, it just made sense to dress up. you get better service anyways :p |
