i think only the features and extra channels, a nuo2 is not a cheap mixer for its features (it's just a simple 2 channel mixer), but it has the build quality, faders,... that all the nuo's have

Yeah a Behringer, the best company in the world!
Haha i'm pretty set on the Nuo 4, although I might think about the Nuo 3 as well, because I dunno if I am going to use the MIDI features or a fourth channel but who knows. But for a few more hundred dollars, it might be worth it in the long run, in case I will use those features.

The NUO2/3/4 have similar sound charactersists...the main differences are the amount of channels, and the NUO4 has MIDI. But even though the NUO2 is the cheapest, doesnt mean it has "cheap" sound....they all sound top-notch!

The NUO5 is built a bit differently (on the inside), and has better sound quality than the other NUO's...making it the flagship of the NUO line ;)

ACTUALLY- he makes a good. I thought the mid was too wide when I used it. that was my only complaint. its smoothness however makes up for it.

But who really needs a five channel mixer?? And is the sound quality that much different on a Nuo 5 vs. a Nuo 4 or Nuo 3, 2?

well, the NUO5 does come with effects and the ETERNAL x-fader, besides the 5th channel. Some people like to have two turntables, two CD-players and a MIC all hooked up at once, so then 5-channels would be useful in that situation.

I'd say the sound quality is just slightly over the other three....but theyre all still up there with XONE's in terms of sound quality.

Oh a Mic, that's what the fifth channel is for. Have always wondered about that, didn't know the Mic was controlled by a channel haha...I hate my voice, I probably wouldn't ever want a Mic, even if I was doing gigs....it's kind of high and whiney but not quite Gilbert Godfrey hehe..me and my dad have the same voice, it's scary, people get us confused on the phone.

I hate my voice too...hence why i will never become a dj like the ones you hear on the radio who talk after every second of the song...it sucks a lot because i have a worse voice on the mic so when i go to say last song everyone is like wtf who is this 12 year old. I hate my genes!!!!

BTW: I am going to be buying a nuo3 regardless because of the nice price and the xlr outputs.

Yeah I might get a Nuo 3 as well but I really like the MIDI features of the Nuo 4, esp if I could use that with Ableton live someday. I am hoping to get Ableton and eventually just use that...sell my CDJs in like four years and concentrate on learning to produce and mix some more complex, downtempo music. In four years, I doubt CDJs will be the "thing" like they seem to be now. Probably mostly computer based mixing...it will probably improve and CDJs will be used more as controllers vs. the primary source of playing. But who knows...just think Nuo 4 will definitely last a while.
