I have been there a couple times. Last time was maybe 10 years ago.
I found most people to be very friendly and I was amazed how much people spoke very good french!
I have been to cities like
Sofia Varna Plovdid Bourgas etc
I really want to go back there. |

Hmmm...
The Bulgarian language is part of an interesting Sprachbund, and I wonder how it's (been) influenced (by) Romanian, which is the freakiest Latin language out there. The cyrillic alphabet was developed there.
Julia Kristeva was born there. So was Hristo Stoitchkov, and you guy did great in the 1994 World Cup.
The capital is Sofia, the flag is White-Green-Red, it's between Romania and Greece and... Bulgarian girls are probably hot :p

I find that outstanding friendliness is a common feature between citizens of countries with little to no money ( no offense to Bulgaria ).
It really gives you a slap in the face and how us "rich" people aren't generous when you see how the people in Bulgaria open their homes and share whatever they can with you. |

i have a good friend of mine who is bulgarian she's studying law here she's very nice but about bulgaria she told me it's poor and i believe it now when i think bulgaria should join the EU in 2007 it scary because i don't think they are ready at all
i also was reading lately that bulgarian government has probs to standardize the different ways of writting names of cities and town since u don't use the same alphabets than us |
