Access Virus C - Help with Sound Diver software

I've just got a second hand Access Virus C and I was planning on working through the tutorial book but the previous owner has filled up the sound banks A and B.
I thought that the best thing to do would be to use the Sound Diver software, to save these patches to my computer, then load up the tutorial sound's from the Access website. My problem concerns the Sound Diver software.
Firstly, I had a bit of trouble getting Sound Diver to install, I was installing the file that I downloaded from Access' site because the person I bought the synth from didn't include the original CD.
Once I finally managed to get the software to install on my PC, I followed the instructions and the software started scanning my Virus after recognising it.
The problem is that the software will start going through the soundbanks and it will retrieve some of the patches, but then it just freezes and the computer tells me that there has been a MIDI Sysex error. It tells me to check the MIDI connections but I'm sure there is nothing wrong with the cables/sound card.
I'm using a M-Audio 2496 soundcard and don't ussually experience any problems with it.
Any one know where the problem might be, do you think it could be something to do with the synth or the software, and also, do any of you use the Sound Diver sofware and if not, what do you use? |

| Just dump the banks while recording in cubase and make sure midi sysex filter is off. You can use the device manager in cubase sx to control thru software. |

| I have had the same problem before, When its getting data from your virus DO NOT try to minimize the screen, DO NOT open any programs. Just let it complete itself and it should be fine. |
