I've been a bit disconnected from the EDM scene for a couple of months so I really haven't heard a lot of this year's tracks. All I've heard so far are Armin's ASOT 2006, Tiesto's ISOS 5, and Ferry Corsten's L.E.F.. Can you guys point me in the right direction again?
What are some of the best tracks released this year? |

well that's hardly the EDM scene at the moment - that would be the border's dance music scene, or maybe the circuit city dance music scene. haha

I second that. No other trance release stood out as much as this album.
And it's cool to see that Vibrasphere have gained recognition among so many new fans here around. People which usually never listen to their stuff seem to enjoy Archipelagio. |

I agree. Vibrasphere are many times incorrectly labeled as psytrance and a lot of ppl seem to be scared of psytrance, so they never get to listen to their music, and that's a shame. Their three albums, all that atmospheric progressive trance and all that sweet downtempo/dub is i immensely underrated stuff. |

Zirens - Edge of space (whiteroom remix)
Stonaface & terminal - venus
DJ Preach - Oxygen

Yeah, another thing i like is how well their sources of inspiration are reflected in the music, the desert/south-america, some nordic themes on Archipelago etc. |
