NY/NJ TA's i need your help. Im jobless right now

I was working for fedex ground as a driver since last november. I had a good job with a good pay. Well until 3 weeks ago i had to take a DOT test and i failed it by having blood/protein in my urine. Because of this, i cannot work for fedex. My bank account money is going down quickly and i need to find a job.
I am very good with computers(dont have a degree) and pretty good with photography www.tianbek.net(just 2 galleries, but people told me the AVB is pretty decent, i have other shots on my computer that i need to upload). Its very hard to get a job in both of those fields without knowing people. I have other job experiences like sales and stuff, but i dont want to do retail anymore.
I was thinking about getting a CDL and driving a tractor trailer, but i would need to pay for the school. I've been a volunteer firefighter for almost 6 years now, but its hard to get a job in NJ.
Anyway, TA's, i turn to you for help. Do you guys know anybody thats hiring? I really need a job, cause soon enough i wont have money to pay for my bills.

| The job market is tough these days. I'm in the same boat you are. Do you have a solid resume? If not it's worth paying somebody to write one for you. Try hotjobs.com, monster.com, and craigslist. If all else fails and you can't get a job in computers or photography (which btw is not an easy career to start if you don't have a degree or a load of money) you can always get a job in sales which does not require a degree most of the time. | Get a job in service (wait tables, etc) till you find what you are looking for. I make a load...about $250 a night plus my paycheck.....its worth it til you can find what you really want, and its only temporary + good money. |
