many reasons paulie.
rock stars are born. they suffer. they go through all sorts of and in the end they make it big - but most of em dont wanna be big - -they just wanna express themselves.
the kharntz on this show just wanna be big. therefore they are wannabes. plain old kareoke singers. yes most of em are pretty good performers, and can sing. but u do not select a rock star on a reality show. rock stars get there just cos they are rock stars.
it also expsed inxs as total wankers and i havent seen to much of this season - but im backing its doing the same for these guys.
i dunno mang - i just dont like it. its not real. |

I agree a bit though. Itsjust the same as idol. Its contrived just probably with people who are more up themselves. |

| Fair point JPL! No doubt it is a little bit contrived. In comparing with a similar show like idol it doesnt even compare! There is talent there...I think most of them have been on a pretty hard road as it is, and its a good break for them, but i see where your coming from. |

JPL is the TA rockstar, he knows what he is talking about ;)
To be honest I think that its great to give people opportunity in these kind of competitions. Its also very entertaining to watch (or very funny). I get your point but you can still enjoy your "organic" talent while watching these "manufactured" stars.
Watched Idol for the first time (this series) last night. I thought some of the people they picked were really bad :whip: Nobody will ever beat Guy Sebastian :D |

Even though he is a little man, he has a great voice- NO ONE CAN BEAT ANTHONY CALLEA in Aus Idol!
Especially when he sang in Italian!
Still cant belive Casey won that year......i nearly punched a hole in the wall! :( |

the thing you gotta remember, Caella would have been (and has been) a star anyway, so why not try to produce 2 stars by giving the weaker one the win? I doubt Idol is rigged but its gotta be pushed in a particular direction.
and Idol sucks, I can't bare to watch it at the best of times, even the ads me off majorly |
