Just wanted some opinions on these two...
M-Audio Axiom-49 ($250)
EMU 1212 ($200)
What do you guys think of the drivers and options on the 1212? Do you think the keyboard has a good price/quality ratio??? |

I have the axiom61. No problems. Keys feel good. Touch pads are great once you get used to them/break them in abit. I love my axiom! Some people think its ugly but i think the black is sexy. :toothless
You can download enigma for free from m-audio to manage all the presets and such. |

Awesome, functionality is important to me... though I also think its a very good looking board :). Do you use the USB midi option or actual MIDI cables? Does it matter? |

I use the usb. I am not %100 sure about this but i think the usb is supposed to have a lower latency then running the midi through another device. With usb you can also re-program the controlls from the computer and such.
At first i didnt like the knobs because they are incrimental but once you get used to it and just mess with the settings (like the velocity settings let you spin it and it will go further depending on how fast you spin it) you will love it. |

Ah, speaking of m-audio, let me know if y'all want any of their products. I'm an authorized dealer for anything m-audio, and TAers get to benefit off this. Just PM me and let me know what you'd like! |

Where were you a few months ago. Could have probably saved me some cash. I might buy that timecoded vinyl/cd control m-audio is bringing out though. |
