IMO listening to minimal for any extended period of time (over 20 minutes) is about as exciting as watching paint dry. On the other hand a hard upbeat techno set from Picotto is priceless, and would fit right in at Sensation Black. Anyone who was @ Space for Meganite WMC 2005 and heard Liebing and Picotto's sets knows what I mean. |

I have no respect for him after what he did at Ultra Spin 9 in Toronto. Bitch ass cry baby.
Hearing him for 2 hours with a closing song that was literally the same beat looped for like 7-9 mins. Annoying. |

yeah 'cause like someone earlier said, sensation represents the current electronic sounds of the country, whether it is holland, germany or belgium. trance is getting much further away from those sounds.

there are bunch of other more pleasing sounds than that trite "duuuuu-du-duuuuuuu....de-duuuuuuuuu....du-duuuuu....duuuuuuuu"

yeah he was awesome. played some of the best new and older tracks, including advanced and direct dizko. when i saw him at castello his set was extremely short. only a little bit over an hour.

Was Ultra Spin 9 held this year? I will agree in that it seems Picotto of late (2006) has gone down hill, as every set I hear of his is minimal and so boooorrrrring. Whereas in 2005 he played Space twice and banged out hard techno beautifuly each time (Edgar V even closed for him one night with a hard tech/trance set from hell). I guess Picotto's change in style has not been for the better :( , and I hope he gets back to real techno. |

haha haven't heard of that incident..
oh his style has changed? haven't heard his sets this year.. i hate minimal techno.. only sometimes but not the whole night.. hehhrhr wacckk.
bring back the bumpity bumpity boom techno. :) |

it was my bday weekend .. feb 3rd 2006 in toronto @ GUVERNMENT/KOOLHAUS!
the venue makes u forget who's on.. and i'm glad for that.
Usually events in KH+Guvy will sometimes get broadcasted live.. and it did for the most part.. till picotto came, tripped on a cable and there was rumors in the review thread that the ppl from etn got kicked out.
LAME and WACK.. so blank and jones right after never got recorded :( |
