Well folks, I wish I had better news, but it seems the fun is over.
The pigeon has disappeared. He hasnt come for seed in over a week now.
We dont know what happened to him, there are two possibilities.
1) He found a mate and is currently building a nest somewhere.
2) He got caught by a cat and killed.
Although the happy ending of 1) would be a lot better, 2) is probably more likely, as he would come for food at least sometime. :(
Not worrying about the best shot, here is the last pic of the pigeon that was taken on Patricks Day, 17th March, 2007 :(
Its not all bad though, we still have the seed out and one of these keeps coming and stealing it ->
No pics of the Pheasant at the patio door yet, these things are a bastard to photograph as they're so nervous. |
