| yes, technology has made it easier to manage credit card and banking accounts online, but when you have a problem and have to call them up, why is it that after you press a million buttons, there isnt even a human to talk to on the phone. it is so annoying. [/VENT] |

i save up all my agression with touchtone systems for the first human i talk to.... then i let them have it...
try this one
everytime you ask the human a question ask him to reply yes or no by pressing 1 or 2 on their touch tone phone.... then say "im sorry, i didnt catch that, please press * to access the previous option" |

and when you finally do get thru to them, they do not know what they are doing, or they transfer you to someone else and you have to repeat the whole story yet again. |

the people who used to live next to me (about 10-15 years ago) owned owned & ran a telemarketing company...I didn't hold it against them, though. I was a little kid who didn't answer phones, and they my sister & me use their pool, so I couldn't have cared less.
...and yes, almost all that customer service stuff is outsourced internationally now. |

the cable company's still in 1995. Give them another 5-10 years & they'll catch up, too. |
