thanks everyone. the guy was a bit of a jerk actually. i think he was trying to pull one over on me b/c i am a girl. he said he wouldnt pay more than 9k for it.

seriously its just called bargaining. its always better to ask for more then come down to what you wanted to sell it for. then he would have been happy at getting "deal". its a man thing

as far as i can tell all these 'vehicle serviced' things are just basic maint. anyone have any clue how vague these terms are on carfax? the car has ran great since i bought it 4 years ago and put on 30k miles on it.

tell the guy to FUk off and hope that you find another buyer!

yeah i know the whole bargaining thing. i am willing to bargain about 500-1000 it depends how desperate i am getting as i am moving. men and their "deals". but he was trying to say this car had problems with it based on stupid carfax.

ahh ok then

they're 15" wheels......no hyped up suspension

yeah that guy...he's a douchebag....tell him to go buy a saab, cause he seems like the type of guy that loves jerking himself off over driving something that nobody gives a about

post an ad in the newspaper. when you get a bunch of ppl calling you say to the guy i've got a bunch of ppl who are looking at that car tomorrow. Then you'll gain the advantage because he'll be scared he'll lose out on a deal. you shouldn't disclose you must sell the car because your moving because it gives him more bargaining power.

he did ask if more people were looking at it. i said i have had a few people looking at it. he knows i am moving and i am desperate to sell it, but my parents said they would sell it after i left, so i am not that much in a rush. i have an online ad on cars.com

when it comes to cars the traditional ad in the sunday classifieds will bring in more buyers. if your going to try to sell online might as well go with ebay. btw, why don't you have ur dad do the selling?

i am not on the best terms with my dad. they said they would help if i HAD to have the help. after i move they will show the car and i will be the deciding factor on the price. he doesnt know what he is doing anyway; he thinks i am selling it for too much.
