On a similar note - this little venture has gotten ahold of me to explore in other places/ abandoned buildings...so I did a lil research to find out if there are other nutty souls and lo behold - URBAN EXPLORERS

:D :D :D

this WAS a fun adventure because it was my first abandoned place explored in FL. This actually used to be a very crazy hobby of mine when i lived up north. This place was actually really disappointing when compared with a lot of the places i have explored. it is my mission this weekend to dig out some old pics and send them to you from some places i have explored. you haven't REALLY been 'urban exploring' until you've PROPERLY broken into a forbidden place... one with actual walls and ceilings!! if you would have gotten into it about a year earlier, you would have wanted to check out Danvers State Hospital in danvers, MA. it is THE asylum. unfortunately they recently demolished the 17 structures that made up this insane community at the top of a mountain. it was considered one of the most haunted places in america, and it was also one of the toughest to actually get into, surveyed 24/7 by state police. i was lucky enough to be part of one of those Urban Exploration Rings that knew people who had getting into it down to a science. they actually made a movie about it called Session 9 -- you should rent it, and make sure you watch the actor's notes. that place was the real deal.

but anyways... i'm definitely down for some more action. we just need somewhere more exciting! i'll do some research. this was just the appetizer...
