I've got a week or so before it needs to be fully finished for submission for a compilation CD, so please please tell me the bits you hate so I can fix 'em up!!

typing while im listening:
nice start good thumping kick, nice bass also like its progression
pumping track really full of energy so far
breakdown: nice melodies plucked synth sounds like vanguard preset 'hale bopp' though.
like the direction change in the second breakdown. give me an idea for my own track :D
overall the really liked it. very driving and full of energy the way i like it. first uplifting track ive heard on TA in a while also. i thought i was the only one left producing it.
good stuff mate! |

Heey man, this track is G R E A T!! The kind of trance I really like, nice bassline..Acctually I don't have anything to add..like the melody, good arrangement, good mix and nice levels!! Tell us when the CD is about to come out cos' I am sure it will be worth listening!
Nice change after the break also...it gives the track that proffesional feeling and is different from all the other tracks that usually turn after the break in the same melody with bass and percussion...thats different and i LOVE it!!!
Keep up the good work and I wish you lots of success!

Gorgeous melody and harmony as always.
Excellent track! The only thing I'd arrange differently is the build-up towards the climax.. There is no real climax in fact, because you simply fade in the percussion.
04:20, now that's a great twist.. Will work wonders on the dancefloor.
I'd up the volume of the main offbeat synth a tad, because it sounds too distant in the mix at the moment.. It makes the track less intense and than it could be. Especially on the dancefloor, when the bassline will take away too much attention.
Brilliant track as a whole!
This is what melodic trance should be like. |

Great, thanks a lot for the feedback guys!!
dj_kane : thanks for the comments and i'm glad there's other uplifting producers out there too :) nice preset spotting too, to be honest i'm more a preset-and-tweak kind of guy but incidentally this track also has my first ever made-from-scratch synth on it too... you win some and lose some ;) i guess i'll have to tweak it beyond recognition for you purists out there..
Mark Elgan : really glad you liked it mate and thanks for the kind words :) The CD is a local australian one and i'm not sure if my track will get picked but if it does i'll be stoked and definitely post some details up in this thread..
lagrom12 : cheers mate! i've worked hard on my sound, so thanks for your comments :)
TOR : Excellent advice, that's exactly what i'm looking for. I did think that the build up was a little subtle so I'll go back and give it a bit more impact. Really glad you like the change at 4:20, and I certainly hope it does have that impact on the dancefloor (the only thing that matters). Also I'll go back and tweak the offbeat synth, because if you're right and I can make it more intense.. then sweet! Thanks a lot for listening :) |

listening:
i like the bassline and the drive you got here, the bass is really mint.
i like the strings, and the melody has a Fire & Ice sound to it, nice soft sound, and the strings are rising, awesome..
at 4:00 some cool sounds are added, but the kick, is really annoying as its very overused.
the melody is awesome though, this is the kind of stuff i really can call uplifting..
but still i notice, and ive noticed before.. ur tracks are a bit messy in terms of arrangement.
maybe I could give it a shot on remixing ? |

Hey mate!
I really love this track of yours. The build up is full of energy. Like Subtle says the melody has a fire & ice sound to it. I think you could have worked more on the tension during breakdown to the part where the beat kicks in again.
Again I agree with Subtle, your mixdown is messy. Too many sounds are in the same range. You need to work on giving sounds their own space in the production. If you manage to do that this would be an even better track.
For the rest I thoroughly enjoyed this piece!
Cheers! |

ok opening up - sorry i wasnt around earlier to crit this: was at the beach for a coupel weeks
kick is crisp and punchy good stuff - sounds just right for mix :)
..hmm im debatging here but possibly 1 click up on the opening hihats.. yeah i think so
i like this driving opening bassline - simplistic - gritty - energetic - love it haha
i think ur opening breakdown is decent.. your fx need more verbage and delay - itll help you sit them in the mix better as well (mostly that reverse type fx ur using) also ive heard that sample before so itll help u create some originality from the sample
i feel like you had a lot of potential enegry lost in your breakdown to the "chorus" that never happened - thats kinda a must for energetic trance.. personal opinion i guess but as a fellow producer of energetic trance/house i dunno that didnt sing to me
personally - i dont really consider this current energy trance - although the with this fat bass coming ion this sounds liek..it..has..potential haha okk... this is better (percs r a little low - kick should be fine but others could be raised a click or 2 max)
decent stuff man - one thing though sounds are i dunno not quite as current as your producing skillset seems so i dunno what u wanna do with that cuz i knwo ur sending this out or whatever but maybe just in future keep that in mind - some of ur sounds r awesomely original and then others r a little (oohh ive heard that kinda) i dunno anyways great mix though man congrats
and if you wanna hear what im talkin bout with current sound etc... check out my new mix i just dropped on here:

Yo mate, I showed me this track a while ago and it sounded good then, and now it's sounding even better so you're making great progress!
All I'm missing now is some climax where you layer fat leads and just let it rock on with energy :whip: :D
Excellent stuff mate |

Superb track filled with superb ideas. At the second break though it seems to get "muddy" in bass for me around the 4:14 mark. If it was more clear and you let the riff sit for a bar or two then bring in the kick, i think people would lose their mind to it.
Lovely track. |
