Well, i saw it tonight. All i can say is WOW, it was in AWESOME.
It's being billed by everyone as an overpopular bad fad that's a cash-in on people with small attention spans. Snakes. On a plane. How much less thinking power can you put into a script? right?
Well it was ing GREAT. I saw it with a sold out crowd and it never let up. When it started out, it seemed like it was aiming to just be a bad suspense movie. But once the snakes got unleashed- snakes biting dicks, boobs, going into eye sockets- the whole crowd lost its mind and the movie really started to roll. There was a bunch of characters from, of course, Badass cop Samuel Jackson, the rapper, the rich white girl, the snobby brit, kids, mothers, kickboxer, gay guy, the horny, the aerophobic; the works, everyone. Ya, there were some parts were it was intentionally bad, but it provided a lot of chuckles. It was never a dull moment.
Ya, the plot is pretty simple and pretty stupid, but the movie is very entertaining, very funny, well executed and I'd gladly watch it again over the weekend if i had the money.
in karate chopped that snake! |

crossposted from another forum:
ok guys, seriously, that was ING AMAZING.
i was worried it wouldnt meet the hype, but it completely blew the out of it and surpassed it on every level. there was nothing scary about it, it's purposefully campy and ridiculous the whole time with TONS of hilarious deaths, one liners, and overall awesomeness. the crowd really helped too, hissing all the time, cheering for sam, oh god.
SEE IT. |

| by the way, djconfessions, you might want to remove all the deaths from your post, that's completely spoiling it for people. let them watch it and see the ridiculousness for themselves. |

Us NWTAs practically run the COR. Yet for some reason, nobody goes to our local section. :p |

Nope, I'm not into anime. I knew it was NWTekno as soon as you mentioned it, because I recognized you when you made your photo post here a couple weeks back.
I saw it at the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood. |

| I thought it was by a wide margain the stupidest movie I'd ever seen. But, that's exactly what I was expecting and it was fun :) |

oh man if this is actually any good I may just have to go and see it :stongue:
But seeing it in english ain't likely to happen. The only movie theater here that plays movies in their original language tends to only put artsy movies and somehow I doubt Snakes on a plane will follow their independent vibe.
Oh and yeah .... the film was renamed for the French release!
