I have both an Access Virus B and a Nord rack 2. As I have bought both of these second hand from Ebay, I would like to restore the factory presets in both instruments. I'm not sure how to do this. Can anyone help? Sorry if this has been posted before. Thanks :toocool: Derivative For the Virus you should be able to get a PDF manual from the downloads section on access-music.de. The section concerning MIDI dumps and restoring factory presets is kind of confusing but you can do it in Windows Media Player by hooking up your Virus to accept Sysex MIDI in the CTRL menu and just playing back the MIDI file that accompanies any OS upgrade for the Virus B (4.9 is the latest OS I believe). Its kind of lame because it doesn't always work. Sometimes it does consistantly but you just need to go through the process of sending sysex midi to the Virus MIDI in port until it clicks.
