i love tiesto to bits (aussie forum)
trust me but i have to agree he does play alot of old oakey tracks theres nothing wrong witht that i mean i love those tracks im glad tiesto is playing em again but they both rock! |

You started a thread b/c you thought up a new "name" for him? Then people flame you (which is understandable), and you get all defensive and start calling names. Whats wrong with you tiesto14?
This is exactly the TA doesn't need... separatist . The Oakey love/hate issue has been beaten to death already, we all know some like him, some don't. Starting up a thread like this may give some people laughs, but it probably makes more people angry than laugh.
Why do they get angry over the name calling? well obviously it doesn't do any harm to him, and no he probably won't ever hear it. Its the intentions and thoughts behind it that piss most people off. I happen to love all the great trance DJ's (Armin, Ferry, Tiesto, Johan, etc. etc....) AND i still love oakenfold. There are some DJ's i don't like, but you don't see me creating names to bash them. Why? Because what is the point? To get more people to not like you, to not respect your opinion anymore?
Fact is most people that say this "Oakenjoke" or "Jokenfold" probably haven't even heard a liveset from him since 2000... most of them probably have never even seen him live. A lot of them are just jumping on the "i hate oakey" bandwagon.
I'd rather see you mention a liveset you don't like, a mix he did that you thought was sub-par. SOMEthing to justify your opinion. And i can guarantee i could point out the same thing of Tiesto. Every DJ has bad sets, bad mixes. Just b/c you don't like their style or track selection doesn't mean they "suck" (as you so eloquently put it).
Why did i write so much about this? .... So you wouldn't think i posted just to add to my "post count" :p :stongue:

LOL...i NEVER called ANYONE names...only Paul the Joke ...and i did not get mad at anyone..what are you talking about....and why is it that so many people rag on Tiesto yet i make 1 joke and i am so terrible...LOL...kind of a double standard ..dont ya think?
