Waiting for tranceaddict....connecting to tranceaddict.....timed out :(
This is becoming more and more common. What's the problem ? |

| as ta has grown, it's always ended up putting heavy pressure on the server, maybe we're just getting to that point again? I've had more timed out requests in the last few days too, but i just wait a few minutes & try again which often fixes it |

| yep...not so much that it's slow, as it is that it just drops out for a minute or two at a time...dunno what'd cause that, though. Over my head. |

Things should be better now.
Some technical crap:
For a long time there were bottlenecks whenever someone uploaded a new sample in the Unknown Tracks forum -- since each time that happened it updated its list of tracks that were ID'd and left to be ID'd (for the samples that show up at the bottom of every thread) - having moved from MySql 4.0 to 5.0x they've improved some of the joins between large tables so queries are returned much faster....
Also moved away from thttpd and use lighttpd with keep-alives on for images... |
