Know the feeling, I come from logic 5.5 and compared to cubase sx3, sx plugins sound really.. well bad..
I have some nice free plugins from http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-series.php they all have a nice warm sound. They also are good on cpu. |

I love all of their products :)
Simple interface with a lot of power behind it. |

Free, and probably the best filterbank EVER! (apart from it's bigger brother, the Tone2 FilterBank 2)
Try the 6 pole Moog filter on your bass sounds and try not to cream your pants :D |

What a hottie -> Spectra Synthesizer
"8 detune-able oscillators per voice "
"Low CPU usage "
hmmm, sexy.

Tried it and it sounds good indeed, but automation doesn't seem to work in sx3, which is really a shame. |
