SUP?!
I'm trying to burn a DVD+R of an ISO from a dvd.
I analysed the iso with several programs and it is Region-Free.
However, when I burn it and try to play it in my dvd player, I get a message that it's not coded for play in this region.
How to fix? |

yea ill try that this time.
seems like converting PAL to NTSC is quite an involved process.
been looking around and found a quicker way. if that doesnt work i'll just forget about it and have to play it on my computer only. |

| could try hacking the DVD player to make it region free. usually very easy (open CD tray, press 1, 2, 3 4 or something like that) |

i dunno if that would fix enable it to play PAL though.
anyway, i got it.
if anyone is interested on how I did it:
You need 4 programs: DVDShrink, VOBBlanker, IFOEdit, and a burning program.
1. Rip PAL DVD to HD using DVDShrink
2. Open VIDEO_TS.IFO in VOBBlanker
3. Select each file in the list and open the menu.
4. Click the NTSC button for each file (you cant do it in batch).
5. Process all the files to a folder.
6. One by one, drag all the video IFOs (including VIDEO_TS.IFO) into IFOEdit.
7. You will see a line that still says PAL in the info, should be within the first few lines on the bottom pane.
8. Double click that line, click NTSC button.
9. Save each IFO.
20. Burn all those files to a DVD (you need to burn 2 folders to the dvd TS_VIDEO which will hold all your converted files, and TS_AUDIO which is usually empty.
DONE! |
