Music Theory classes?

| I'll be starting my senior year of High School shortly, and I'm just finishing up my schedule. I was wondering, does anyone have any experience with taking AP Music Theory in high school? I have pretty good knowledge of some music theory already, but I think taking this class would help me with both my productions and my DJing. Does anyone have any comments on this? Would you advise for/against it? Thanks! |

it would absolutly be beneficial.
I have a strong theory background, and teach music for a living, and while some producers rely soley on inspiration i can write and complete more having tools, and using method. |
