ipod sucks balls...
the restrictions and caveats that they put on the software are very user friendly prohibative.
Not to mention the leaps and bounds you go through to put your own video into mp4 format.

^^^ Wow, that was helpful.
Change the upload settings to manual and put the new tunes you want in a folder to be uploaded and then select that folder when you want to add them. Otherwise your ipod syncs directly with whatever is in your itunes library. |

| one thing i dislike is if the name is off by 1 character or space or anything it becomes another album. for instance, A State of Trance is different from State of Trance. it should recognize that they are the same even though it off. like an autocorrect. |

Worst program ever written.
I remember the good ol' days when MP3 players would just pop up as removable drives and you could simply drag and drop your songs onto them.
I guess that was just too easy... |

Here's another alternative; it's a plug-in for WinAmp.

Make playlists in itunes then. Go to the tunes you want to be in the same folder and click info on each one and add the same thing to the comment box. For example if you want to split up trance and house type trance or house in the comment box. Following that go to make new playlist in the file/options menu and select create new playlist from comment. Then you'll have all the tunes separated by genre on your ipod. |
