the event is actually being thrown in conjunction with the Toronto Film Festival in part alongside some organizers from Montreal and various other areas.
i think it'll be more of an industy event than anything, hence the slightly higher than normal ticket price..

Montreal, Tuesday, August 22, 2006 – Christal Imagine & Produkt proudly present the event F*** ME I’M FAMOUS! at the occasion of the Toronto International Film Festival, Sunday September 10 at The Guvernment (www.theguvernment.com) in the KOOLHAUS room.
Very special hosts Cathy & David Guetta invites you the very first F*** ME I’M FAMOUS! party here in Canada and promises an environment as crazy and glamorous as the evenings the DJ star organizes each summer in Ibiza, Spain. Prepare yourself for one memorable performance of Guetta and his very own electro-funk-house cocktail. Christal Imagine & Produkt are happy to announce that French DJ Bob Sinclar will also perform and deliver one of his very fine and irresistible sets.
About David Guetta
A key figure in the electronic music scene for over 20 years, David Guetta is wonderfully versatile. After starting out as a DJ in the gay clubs of Paris’ Halles and on the radio, he emerged in the second half of the 90s as an entrepreneurial force in the Paris nightlife scene. As a club owner and organizer of parties in the hippest clubs (Folies Pigalle, Queen, Bataclan, Palace, Les Bains Douches), he invited legends such as Little Louie Vega, David Morales, DJ Pierre and Roger Sanchez to share his turntables. In 2001, he returned to his roots and to active DJing with a mix CD, Me I'm Famous: DJ Mix Ibiza, named after the party he organized on Spain’s famed techno island. The disc includes his remix of David Bowie’s "Heroes" and is today a gold record, an exceptional achievement for a mix CD. His first album, Just a Little More Love, was released in 2002 and has sold over 250,000 copies.

About Bob Sinclar
As part of his North American promotion tour of his album Western Dream, Bob Sinclar will perform next September 10. After a residence at mythic Paris Club Palace, Bob Sinclar became a worldwide star in 1998 with his smash hit Gym Tonic dropped on an unsuspecting world, featuring kitschy vocals sampled from a Jane Fonda workout tape. His albums Paradise and Champs Elysées as well as the Africanism compilations have shown his production chops and musical palette, all confirmed with his third cd, titled simply III. He’s now moving beyond the confines of clubland and into the larger musical universe. His latest album Western Dream surprise once again and the 1st single Love Generation is already a smash hit all over the world, it was Pete Tong’s pick of the week on the BBC’s Radio 1 and has been featured as the theme music for French TV’s Pop Idol before becoming the Official theme for the Soccer World Cup.
