I hear ya, I don't listen to ASOT anymore, and most of the stuff I do enjoy...Armin doesn't play much of. The really progressive house, trance and breaks stuff out there...like on Toes In The Sand, Baroque, FeralCode, HeadRush, Proton, No Smoking, Tilth, Sentient Audio Collective, SOG among others...I guess some of us have gotten tired of a lot of the stuff he plays. He's not a bad DJ by any chance IMO, just not into what he plays as much (some of the stuff I do enjoy however, esp on "The Beach" CD of ASOT 2006). |

I have to admit though, I haven't listened to any of the recent ASOT sets in probably a year. I think the most recent I have listened to and downloaded was like 180 something. Was the one where he announces "The Official Snow Tune" and then Love Theme Dusk plays in the 3rd track and I think he mixes Adrenaline into that. Was a pretty nice mix! :)

ASOT 223 is such a great set, too bad it lost its credibility just because its on a 'radio' and not live..just because it is 'asot' and not EM..
If it was a live set.. I bet crowd would have gone beserk.. and it would have been a history like Paul Oakenfold's Shanghai mix and other EMs...
Its a mad mad mad set.. whole first one and half hour is like one big track. Awesome flow. |
