That’s just awful, I’m so sorry to hear that.
Life is full of exceptional highs and mega lows, if only everyone was mentally strong enough to deal with it…
My group went through this exact trauma in year 12. It did make us a much closer group … but some people continued to blame themselves, and limited their own opportunities in life because of it.
I hope your group is strong enough and mature enough to realise that not only is it not any sole person or groups fault, but there is nothing they could have done. |

| This an incredibly sad thing to happen. I know it's hard not to feel guilty, but it really is something within him that you couldn't have done anything about. :( |

suicide is a very selfish resolution to all of your problems :/ |
Tathi i dont think its fair being so judgemental...you have no idea about the circumstances...how can you call it selfish? Not having a go at you, but attitudes like that doesnt help anyone!
RIP to the poor soul... |

i do somewhat agree however that it is a selfish act... kind of
i only say this, because he has left behind the most wonderful of girls, all of whos hopes were up with a soon to be engagement..\
and not just that his mum is now alone in the world. i cant imagine what it must feel like, bringing up someone for 23 years, that being your biggest concern that your children grow to have a wonderful life.. and it all ends, pretty much down the drain... just a waste
im sure if he could see how much people truly loved him this would never have happened.
If you guys ever have a friend that talks about doing this crap to themselves i urge you to help them in any way possible to avoid such a thing
thanks for the support guys its really appreciated, your a wonderful bunch :gsmile: |

I used to think suicide was selfish.
It's not really though it just looks like it. You don't commit suicide for fun. It is something that is not a spur of the moment thing. I am of the belief that you would be thinking pretty hard about taking your own life. You must feel pretty worthless and useless to anybody really.
Its not a good thing to hear about happening though mate. The only thing worse, is hearing about someone you know being murdered.
Chin up old boy!! |

I didn't comment on this because I remember a time when I would have been angry at the person because I believed it was an incredibly selfish thing to do. I don't think that anymore. The awful truth is that by the time someone gets to the stage where they kill themselves they don't believe anyone will care and in fact believe their loved ones will be better off without them.
This may seem totally illogical to the people left behind but whatever reason , depression etc., it makes sense to them. Let's face it, this guy was loved ! For him not to know this there must have been something wrong within himself. As I said it is a very, very sad thing, but ultimately no one else is responsible.
I'm so sorry for what has happened to you all. :( |

| when someone takes their own life they dont have the ability to think about others not because they are selfish, but because they are so deeply depressed. |

yes you are correct he was suffering from some sort of imbalance in his head and he had seen people about this in the past
he just never opened up to anyone about...
another reason i say it was selfish... is because 2 months prior, Luciano had seen what this had done to his girlfriend. One of her work mates Gassed himself in his car and she was shattered over the loss of her workmate and friend. Luciano had even said to me, how what he did was selfish, how could he hurt those around him etc etc... and then 2 months down the track he does the exact same thing...
i dunno |

Hey Vman,
That a real tragedy losing your best friend. I know what my best friend means to me and I'd be shattered if anything happened to him and especially under the circumstances in which ur mate died. I can understand the pain your in dude. Very sorry for your loss. I agree, you should kick his ass when you see him next! |
