Here's my contribution to the VGM Remix project.
It's not 100% finished yet, but I'd though I would share it to hopefully get some feedback. :)

It was a pain in the butt to remix cause the bass notes go across almost two octaves. Any advice on how make the bass less ty are welcome.

Updated with new links to the final version.

this is pretty good, sounds like Sam Sharp/Ron Van Den Beuken

its a solid production none the less

Thanks. Yeah, the supersaw thing isn't very original, but it worked so well for this track.

I'm thinking of changing the second synth that comes in at 6 minutes. I think it's too weird even for this track.
Subtle
nice hats, great percussions, bassline is mint.

great production.

:)

This was an excelent song choice, and the percs just add to the energy so well. Nice work.

listening....

nice percussion, realy drivin'

very good dirty bassline at ~1:00

yeah, this is my kinda stuff.....darkish sound, like it a lot

ah...whats with the wierd pattern of that supersaw in the break? not liking it

ughh...this lead really puts me off...

overall....i like the percs, the fxs u used and the bassline...the melody sucks imo

thanks for sharing ;)

I don't mean to be pushy at all, but can you upload a version to yousendit also?

I want to hear this one, but for some reason (which is almost certainly on my end...) I can't seem to get the host you used to download the song. :(

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Here's the final version.

Some of the changes I made:
- The bassline should sound fine across the whole melody now.
(I transposed a copy of the bassline down one octave and faded it in gradually.)
- I've removed some of the weirdness in the breakdown.
- Improved the kick a little
- Changed the second lead into something more like in the original tune.

Yes it does kind of suck, but remember this is a remix from a video game. It sounded even more bad before I made chords to the melody. :D

True, but this is one of few songs that have never been remixed before and it's one of my favorite levels in the game. I guess it just brings back alot of memories. :)

really loven' ur percussion work here.
i love the way the melody goes up note by note. not sure how much of the origanal is in this track so hard to know what to comment on whats ur and theirs.
when it kicks in after the melody i think the note should stay constant, keeps rising so it makes it hard to enjoy the song...almost making me nervous + on edge.
besides that, this is a great track and seems u put a lot of work into it as it shows :)
good job
