help with my domain please...

I set up URL-forwarding from my domain name last night to a server that is running perfectly. Within 30 minutes, the forwarding settings had kicked in, however, today, for some reason, some people see the site at the server I set up for forwarding, while others get the default joker.com registered domain site with the message:

" The Domain was Successfully Registered with Joker.com

To administer the domain, configure your email addresses and URL forwarding, or register more domains, please go to joker.com.

Your Joker.com Team "

This happens to people in my same country, getting both results. Even myself, I am now getting the default site, whereas last night, forwarding was working.

Can anyone explain why this happens? I would really like this resolved as soon as possible.

please. seriously, i kinda need this to start working.

however, 9/10 people get the result i was looking for, which is to be redirected, while once in a while, someone pops up who doesn't get redirected... like ME on this computer now for instance. anyone?

proper ip settings can take up to 72 hours to propagate throughout the net. Depending on your provider. make sure your host headers are properly set up.

you can check for proper name server and A records by using nslookup command in XP/2000/2003.
1. open command prompt by typing start>run>cmd

2. at command prompt type nslookup and press enter

3. at nslookup type your domain name (ex: xyz.com) - this will give you IP address registered to your site.

4. type "set type=ns" (no quotes) and type your domain name again - this will give you IP addresses for your DNS (name resolution) servers - confirm they are correct.

Any problems - contact your host provider.

Also, this site is quite handy for similar type diagnostics (in web format)

i'll do this, however, will it matter that it is a URL forward, and not actual dns setting?
