Yeah...an elderly couple called a couple of days ago at the insurance company I'm working for to file a claim...their BBQ grill got stolen :(

| Just checked up on it, still chained to the fence. Wow, it's sad to think that I had to result to chaining my BBQ to the fence in order to prevent this from happening again. |

They shoulda left a note on the door telling u they took it and not to be alarmed, if they had to leave a note of any kind. And yeah, I'd take it back and ask them to clean it. |

lol. Love the idea, but im not low enough to stoop to thier level of things. However today after work I went to thier door and asked them what the hell was up with the stealing of my BBQ. They told me exactly what they said on thier note and then they said , " Well, if you didn't want people to take it you'd chain it up".WHAAAAAAT??! Yes maybe it should have been chained, but why the hell should I feel as if I need to chain up my stuff. If I wanted people to take it I'd write a HUGE sign on it that said, " FEEL FREE TO TAKE & USE THIS, I DON'T CARE"

Could you still report this as theft, even though they returned it? Did you keep the note? If you could report it, I would...show 'em not to mess with you now.
Also...how old were these ppl? Young ppl? Or an older couple?
I would have answered with something like "You don't want me to take your car...CHAIN IT UP!" And then hot-wire the car. |
