This computer was assembled by a co worker of mine ...

2 x AMD Opteron 280 2.4ghz (1200US each)
8 x Corsair XMS ECC Reg memory(has 8 more sticks for a future upgrade)(2500US)
2 x nVidia 4500 Quattro 512mb(1250US each)
4 x 74g WD Raptor(100$each off ebay)
2 x 320g WD SE 16mb cache(100$each of ebay)
Creative XFi Elite Pro sound card(450US)
Silverstone TJ-03 with custom window(300US)
Power PC & Cooling 1kw PSU(500$US)
Grand Total = $10,000+ ($US)

| BTW, this computer holds 16GB of ram ... the ram which he used are for servers and each stick holds 2GB each. |

What the is the point of putting ECC RAM in a desktop? Doesn't the guy know that it slows down performance?
Totally not surprised to see a Tyan board in there either. Tyan has been rockin' it out with desktop SMP setups for years. Ahhh, the days of the Tyan Tiger and Athlon MPs. |

Should have SLI'd a pair of GeForce 7950 GTX 2s. |
