Like what if you lose your phone, or something happens that wrecks it? At least I can replace mine for $165 lol. Who really buys a cell because it can take pics, and expects to take actual good pics with it? no one, they just buy a digital camera. I can see you want it to take pics, because maybe theres some huge crash you can get a picture of, or drunken pictures, but still, its not worth the money.

Exactly Dannyboy! Thats teh lines alongwhich Id think too if I ever broke down and decided to buy one. Im not wasting uber-$$$ on a mobile.
And yea, I can see u wrecking it too, lol... you're crazy dan! :thepirate |

how's the customization on the W810i? in restrictions as to what you can do with the pics/vid/mp3s you upload? (like set pics for photo call id, set full mp3 for ringtones, etc...)
customization is key in any phone for me personally
|
You can associate pictures and use full MP3's as the ringtunes for each contact. There are wallpapers, screensavers, etc. - the typical features, and the menus are all pretty intuitive, so its easy to do what you want. All the files are accessible through the File Manager, which organizes everything on the internal memory and the memory card in one place. This feature is something that I think the Motorola's lack.
I am not sure what else you mean by customization? |

VERTiGO, yeah, you're right in that respect. The 810 is a very good phone, but it's cheapened by the fact that it'll be as popular as the RAZR.
God I hate the RAZRs. Stupidest-looking things ever.
As far as this whole losing/wrecking your phone: if you buy a case and a screen protector for them, they'll be safe from practically any external damage unless you drive over it with a car or something. I only take my phone out of my pocket to talk on it, so not much chance of losing it. |

A buddy of mine bought the RAZR when it was brand new for like $400. Within a few weeks it was $99 and the whole world had one. He wasnt happy.
I bought the L7 SLVR back in June and so far I only know one other person that has it. I'm not a huge Motorola fan but I honestly can complain about this phone at all.

Don't get a boring ol' phone that anybody here can go and buy at any Rogers store. |
This reminds me, you still owe me $20 for that 512 Micro SD, you dirty skank. :whip: |

I hope that's not true. I don't want my 810 to turn into a RAZR :whip: But I think one thing that will hold it back from becoming extremely popular is the fact that it's a candybar, not a flip phone. We'll just have to wait and see. |

| Check out how many people already have the W810, and it's only been on sale through Rogers for a couple of months. Candybar or no candybar, give it a year and a lot of promotional pricedrops, and more and more people will find out what a kickass phone it is. |

It JUST dropped like $100 a little over a week ago. A couple days later my brother bought one. Sadly, I think you're right with this becoming the next RAZR. |
