Btw, this laser eye surgery simply removes a lens from the eye which regenerates after several years. To the point, it's only a temporary method of providing 20/20 vision which, after some years elapse, your vision will be just as bad as it was prior to the surgery.

are u talking about laser eye surgery in general?
cause thats not hte case.. this is clearly made up (that at home )

Obviously. You need to be quite impressionable to believe this arrant at-home bull.

laser eye surgery removes a corneal layer then tissue is destroyed from the then exposed eye

when the corneal flap is replaced the healing begins and the eye is reshaped permanently

its only in rare cases where regression occurs and surgery can be done again in this case

Not so rare as far as I've heard, and obviously surgery can be done again but you'd have to fork over a couple of thousand anew.

Up to 25% of cases, Ive heard. Theres alot of sugaring done to the facts on Laser Surgery. Suffice to say that Ill be sticking with contacts and glasses for several years yet.

This is probobly the worst thing about Lasik, apart from the complications ->

quote:

Glare is another commonly reportedly complication of those who have had LASIK. Halos or starbursts around bright lights at night are caused by the irregularity between the lasered part and the untouched part. It is not practical to perform the surgery so that it covers the width of the pupil at full dilation at night, and the pupil may expand so that light passes through the edge of the flap into the pupil. In daytime, the pupil is smaller than the edge. Newer equipment is available to properly treat those with large pupils, and responsible physicians will check for them during examination.

my grandpa had some eye surgery done at a very late stage in his life ( I forget for what exactly ) and it made his vision worse :wtf:

After that he spent his time blaming my father for having pushed him to do the operation ( I was young and I don't remember if my father had any involvement in the decision really ).

So yeah ... the eyes is one thing I'm not too keen on people messing around with despite the fact I am really getting sick of wearing glasses since I have been about 12 years old or so.
