I'm trying to record from my mixer to my computer using Acid Pro 2.0.
But when the mix comes out it has like a wobble effect to like the sound is going in and out. has anyone run into this before? Equipment:Numark Axis 8's,Vestax 175PV mixer, toshiba laptop w/an Ali sound card. Please help me!
ps. am i recording it right by running the mixer to the microphone input? if not how else would you do it?
thanks

nope. you must not record anything through the mic input......
you get REALLY ty quatlity.
you have to record through the line in input of the soundcard. and since most laptops don't have that, you'll have to buy a pcmcia soundcard that has a line in input........
btw, do you have a regular computer? cause that'll save you alot of trouble..... |

yes. there are pcmcia soundcards..... (pcmcia are cards that go into your laptop... just in case you didn't know).
I can't help you with names and models (sorry......) but I can tell you that there are plenty. just go to your local computer store and ask them.... it's worth a try...... :)

well, regular computers have built in lne inputs in all their standard soundcards..... that's why it'll save you trouble....
but personally, I think that a laptop is more comfortable to use only because of the fact that it's compact (I sometimes use a computer to DJ)....... :):):):):) |
