For many years I have had my DSL modem hooked up by the ethernet, just yesterday I started to try it out with the USB connection.
What's better? ethernetor USB connection .... no router, straight connection to my comp. |

No real difference in connection speed that i've noticed other then it taking a USB slot. Use ethernet you nerd. |

The USB seems a tad faster for DL. |

ethernet is 10/100mbps
usb2.0 can go up to 480mbps
but your internet will never go to those speeds
so if you want to save a usb port then go for the ethernet |

Most modern computers have at least 8 USB ports now anyways; why bother 'saving' one? lol! :haha: |

What he said Johnny. Plus I can never get the USB to work... driver related issue.
Most common dsl Connections are 3mb or 5mb (Think they may be going to 6 or 7 next).
So your 100mb connection is only utilizing at best 5% of that bandwidth. |
