Hard drive crashed last night, entire computer went up. :mad:
Lost everything since I did my last backup about a month ago. Couldn't be any f u ck ing happier right now. :mad:

Thats why you should have redundant hard drives and run a backup batch job.

xcopy "C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\*directory*" [redundant drive (internal or external)]:\ /S /E /V /D /Q /Y

True, I guess it could be worse, I'd be done without my backup. Gonna have to do it more regularly now, anybody know if you can automatically do backups?

Suck it up princess. It will be either a strong cat one or weak cat two when it hits florida. That is not that bad. Chances are also great that if it goes on its current track, Cuba will hinder alot of its ability to keep going.

Backing up software, scheduled tasks etc.


Do some googleing you'll find plenty of info on the subject.

Read my reply with the xcopy a few posts up. I do that at work and home. Its simple and all you need

Folder synchronised external USB HDD every Monday. Works a charm :)

Dont dump the HDD yet tho. Get a new one, add this one as a 2nd drive and run some recovery programs on it.

sorry about that, but if it helps anything, my cell phone was stolen on friday.... probably doesn't compare though :confused:
