I spin anjuna, I love anjuna, but lately I've been seeing things that are upsetting me.
Most of their recent releases have the BPM printed on the record. GIVE ME A BREAK. How inexperienced do you have be to have to have the BPM right on the record. C'mon Anjuna, be real!!! |

its nothing to do with being unexperienced, it's simply for ease of use so you can utilise time elsewhere. they are also printing the key of the track on the sleeve. Get with the times!
p.s. whats the in point in moaning about it here anyway!? go to anjunabeats.com and make a thread there or complain to [email protected]. If its not worth complaining about to them, then dont complain at all. |

I noticed this on my copy of Smith & Pledger - White/Black. Sure, it's easy to say, "Oh, they are making this too easy for the noobs with the BPM printed, etc." However, suppose I open my set with a track that is not at 138BPM (like White/Black). I still have to match my beats later on when I work in the track with the stated BPM. And even if I did nothing but spin every record with the same BPM, I have to cue and phrase properly, or my set will sound like holy hell.
Off topic, I'm digging some of this Smith & Pledger stuff, guys. I have Forever, White/Black, and Hijack. Anything else of theirs I should pick up? |

Jeez that's terrible. I also have this one vinyl that says: "THIS SIDE" and "THAT SIDE". I mean, what happened to A- and B-sides???? Dj-ing is getting way too easy this way! Unacceptable!

| yeah, cause only the pros with their 1337 DJ skillz can figure out the BPM of a track. |
