when i was in tunisia i saw lot of places selling sheesha but they ere really really quality at the market. i decided to wait until i got back to roronto and purchase one locally. i did pick up three boxes of egyptian molasses tobacco when i was in tunisia though (orange, cappucino and banana).
so can anyone recommend me to any arab/lebanese/middle eastern store in the gta (preferrably somewhere in markham/richmond hill area) that sells sheesha and all the accessories (charcoal, tongs, tobacco, etc) at a good price? |

I would always buy my sheesha supplies in NYC since it was not taxed as a tabacco product, but rather discounted as an international cultural food product. for 3 years I supplied the U of T sheesha smoking appriciation club with cheap supplies... they got $400 a year in funding. The GTA is pretty pricey for sheesha stuff. about the only thing that's cheap is going to kennsington market, but even then it's relatively expensive (ie I paid $4 a large box of tabacco in NYC but paid $20 in kennsington, $40-55 else where). I'd check out kensington market if you get a chance other than that I can't help out much, ontario has jacked all the prices way up on all the sheesha stuff, even quebec is much cheaper.
Stay away from smoke shops and hippy head shops... they have the worst prices hands down. |

I don't think you'll find anything great in Toronto...Montreal maybe.
There is a store (green sign I think) just south of Yonge/Steeles intersection, in the same plaza as Popeyes. I recall them having hookahs but nothing that looked good, and seemed overpriced. As for tobacco, happy hunting!
Best option, especially if you're not ordering tobacco/molasses is to order it online through a reputable source. Even if customs do open it, since there are no tobacco products, you get charged the regular duties/taxes (in my experience).
If you're looking for a small/compact hookah, definately take a look at the MYA QT, it gets great reviews. |

i paid $5euro for three small boxes (50gram) of El Nakhla brand tobacco in tunisia. it probably wont last me very long so i will probably order that stuff online like MaxTO said.
as for the hookah itself, there is one that caught my eye.
