I have a weekly podcast and want to start covering new artists in their own segment. I'm finding that small shows go over better than longer ones, which is why I want to seperate my show into segments.
What I'm looking for is unsigned artists OR recently signed artists who's label will allow me to play the selected song on my podcast. As long as it's kosher with your label, I would be glad to cover new releases by established artists as well. But premission to use the music must be given to me via email from your representation before I can accept it.
I'm not looking for any other rights except the song's use in that specific podcast (not future works). I'm simply wanting to cover my ass while making both the artists and labels comfortable.
All submissions should be in 128kbps 44khz MP3 format, and be some form of electronic dance music. I will need to be able to listen to the track prior to selection to determine it's suitability (a streaming, non downloadable source like MySpace or AcidPlanet is great).
I will also need a small bio on you, including contact information, personal/professional websites, etcetera. This is so I can properly promote you both in the podcast and in the RSS feed that goes to providers like iTunes. The better the bio, the more I can talk about.
